For me, happiness comes from designing and creating.  I'm at my most content when I'm busy working in my studio in Trencrom, West Cornwall.  All my pieces are formed from scratch, originating from an idea in my sketchbook and then transferred to sheet metal which is then formed, sawn, coloured and finished by hand.  My inspiration comes from everything around me ... the stunning countryside on my doorstep, the beaches I walk on everyday with my two whippets, the undulating hills and the vibrant ever-changing colours.

The process of adding colour to copper is a lengthy one but I love to watch the transformation from a stark sheet of copper to a mini piece of art.  By using coloured pencils, I combine my love of drawing with  my passion for silversmithing.
